Rising Stars Summer Ballet Intensives offer serious ballet students the highest quality of intensive Classical Ballet training on the Northshore of the Greater New Orleans Area in Mandeville, Louisiana.  Guest teachers may teach other classes designed to strengthen ballet dancers and enhance their skill. They also offer students an opportunity to attend seminars on a variety of topics relevant to the classical ballet dancer. Each two-week intensive allows an appropriate amount of time for each dancer to progress in their skills and is designed specifically for each age group. Attending only one week will be allowed if a dancer's schedule will not allow completion of the entire intensive. Parents will be invited to attend a Performance Demonstration at the end of week two of each intensive designed to showcase all of our dancers' hard work.

Weekly Schedule

Classes include, but not limited to: Ballet Technique, Pointe, Character Dance*, Variations, Stretching & Conditioning/Ballet Jumps & Turns, Music & Choreography, and Seminars**

Guest teachers will be teaching some classes.

 

*Character Dance is Classical Ballet dances based on the national dances from famous classical ballets.

**Seminars may include Injury Prevention, Pointe Shoe Care, Ballet History, Professional Stage Makeup, Acting and other dance-related topics.

 

Students attend classes Monday–Friday. Class size is limited! Please register early!
